What It Is: This app encourages kids to be creative by making unique faces using collage materials of everyday items. It also provides kids the opportunity to share their creativity via email/social media as well as with other app users worldwide in a special gallery called FaceWorld.
Why We Like It: The graphics are beautiful and the overall design is extremely kid-friendly. The app engages young minds and makes them feel good about their original creations. What’s super cool is the instruction in the video lessons are taught by artist and children’s book illustrator Hanoch Piven. Kids will come to look at everyday objects around then with a true artist’s eye.
Note To Parents: You may want to be close at hand when the kiddos watch the app’s video lessons because the YouTube video suggestions at the end of the lesson could lead them to videos that are not appropriate for kids. You should also be sure that when your kids upload their art to FaceWorld that they aren’t sharing their full first/last name.
