Have you ever tried to take that perfect family vacation photo, only you can’t fit everyone in the frame? Or maybe you want a shot of yourself in front of the grand canyon, but the background scenery gets cut off? Take heart selfie enthusiasts, help is on the way!
The Airselfie is a tiny flying drone within a phone case designed to let you take photos from farther away. Added bonus, your arm or selfie stick won’t be anywhere in the picture. No, we’re not making this up.
Airselfie is a real thing. And judging by the success of its Kickstarter campaign, which raises about $534,000, it’s a product people want.
You control the drone with virtual joysticks in the Airselfie app. After the Airselfie takes a photo, it’s stored in the cameras 4GB storage. Or, you can choose to transfer it to your smartphone using the wifi connection between the two devices.
Airselfie fits the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 6, 6 Plus, Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. You can pre-order an Airselfie now (it retails for about $260). The drones will be ready for shipment in May of this year.
