Name of Product: Various vegetable products packaged by Mann Packing. The “minimally processed” vegetables are sold throughout the United States and Canada, including at Walmart and Trader Joe’s.

Hazard: Various vegetable products packaged by Mann Packing of Salinas, California are being voluntarily recalled because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.  Listeria is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, pregnant women, and others with weakened immune systems.

Mann Packing is issuing the recall out of an abundance of caution after a single positive result was found on one of the products during random sampling. To date, public health officials have not reported any illnesses associated with these products.

Remedy: Consumers who have purchased any recalled products listed below are urged not to consume them. Instead discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Details: The vegetables are sold throughout the United States and Canada, including at Walmart and Trader Joe’s. The recall affects numerous brands, such as Mann’s, Archer Farms, Cross Valley, Signature and Walmart and Trader Joe’s store brands.

Mann Packing is cooperating with U.S. and Canadian health officials on this recall. Mann Packing is contacting all affected customers to confirm that the recalled product is removed from store shelves.
